Vintage Rickenbacker Wiring
Here is my best attempt at a vintage spec wiring diagram for 5-control mono Rickenbacker guitars. Some of the lines are crazy because I was avoiding crossing with other lines. Also shown is an option push/pull to bypass the bright cap.
This is often referred to as the "67 Tele wiring," the first year the tele was actually wired for bridge/both/neck. I like the tone circuit a lot and can be adapted to a number of applications. The old teles grounded to the bridge through the steel baseplate on the bridge pickup which connected through the screws. Don't forget that if you're doing a bridge pickup without a metal baseplate like the Rising Sun Humbucker you'll need to add a ground strap from the back of one of the pots. Also, if you're not using a metal control plate you'll need to ground everything.
