The Suprocaster
If I have a claim-to-fame it's this pickup. The Suprocaster is based on the old "Coodercaster" Supro/Oahu/Valco lap steel pickups, but it's a "string-through" without the "string-through." I've done this pickup as a tele, strat, humbucker, P90 and even a bass pickup and it sounded killer everytime. It features two big, powerful ceramic 8 bar magnets stuck to the back of the steel baseplate that the polescrews thread into, producing a big, diffuse magnetic field. Imagine a beefy tele or a really clear P90 with a bell-like sustain for days. Or bet yet, don't imagine anything. Watch the videos and check out the soundclips. The suprocaster is recommended for BRIDGE ONLY. I'm not going to tell you how to live your life, but the suprocaster is designed and wound to be used only as a bridge pickup. You can try one in the neck if you want, but space/time may collapse.
(He switches to the Suprocaster at the end.)
