DualBucker
If you split a humbucker it becomes a single coil, right?
Well, sort of.
It's certainly half of a humbucker and it no longer hum-cancels, but does it really sound like a single coil? Does it even sound good?
The Dualbucker wiring is a way of splitting a humbucker to a full power single coil. When you split you get a true single coil without a massive volume drop.
Without getting too much into exactly how it works, Dualbucker wiring would split an 8k humbucker to around 6k instead of the usual 4k.
Dualbucker wiring uses modern 2-conductor leads which has a black, white and bare wire. Bare is ground, black is humbucker output and white is single coil. You switch between the two modes via a push/pull or mini-toggle.
